Oh, hey there, sweetie. We may be saying this way too much, but that’s because it’s true – you look amazing! It’s our fifth date already, and it’s obviously not only your looks which makes us come back to you again and again. But we’ve got to be honest with ourselves that it was what made us go out with you the first time.
Saying this, it strikes us that business is actually no different from dating in this aspect. Just think about it, you’re much more likely to buy something for the first time if it looks appealing. So yeah, branding is more important than people think – especially for smaller businesses.
Someone like you may not have any trouble finding dates, but we wanted to share some resources connected branding which would definitely help you get more first-time customers.
99 Designs
We love all 99 Designs’ resources to be fair, but something we recently discovered was their YouTube channel. It has some really good videos on the basics of design and branding which will get you started on understanding the practicality behind some of the elements that you may not find that important. The videos are short so we really recommend you to take a quick look at the ones you feel interested in.
Just Branding
This podcast is more of a deep dive as the hosts Jacob Cass and Matt Davies invite professionals from the field and speak to them in detail about the process of brand building. The main topics include brand strategy, brand identity and positioning. There is a lot of useful information you could get from here, but you have to take some time to listen. We attach a link to their latest episode where they discuss with Ariadna Navarro how to build a brand that lasts. And if the spirit moves you, why not look at the rest as well?
For Better Branding
Last time we met, we mentioned our new initiative for startups, small and medium sized businesses, right? We’ve added a few blog posts and will keep posting regularly on the topic of branding. There we get into depth about the different aspects of it and we will also share real case studies you could learn from. We also wrote a 70-page book on branding, covering everything you must know from A to Z. You could get it for free by registering for the initiative (or by asking us about it on email). So do you want it? Let us know.
That is all from us for this week. We really hope the resources we shared will be useful for you and the business you are building!
See you two Fridays from now… as usual. It’s a date!
